In Colorado‘s small town of Grand Junction, there are many worthwhile activities for backpackers. One free and interesting way to spend a day is to explore the area’s outdoor art scene, also known as Art on the Corner. The program was started in 1984 by a local sculptor named Dave Davis, and continues as a year round free exhibit to the public.
There are over 100 pieces of art, including sculpture, mixed media, poetry written by children and interactive art, many of which can be seen via a walk along downtown main street.
